Racers Memorial Race
LEXINGTON, Neb- Dawson County Raceway to host "Racers Memorial Race" sponsored by Burger King, Monday, May 27th Memorial Day. On a day where America traditionally honors veterans and loved ones who have passed on, Dawson County Raceway will also honor the memory of five former racers. Hanny Arram, Larry Conyers, Terry Eatherton, Brady Koch and DJ Pedersen competed at the fast dirt oval in recent years.
IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds will race to capture the $1000 paycheck. The winner will also put their name on the ballot for the 2013 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational to be held at the Super Nationals. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods will race for $400 paychecks. Top prize for the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks will be $200. IMCA Mach-1 Sport Compacts will pay $100.
IMCA Speedway Weekly Racing National Points, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., hot laps at 5:45 p.m. and racing begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, 5 & under free. Pit passes are $25. There will be a $30 registration fee for new cars which is good for two nights of racing. Dawson County Raceway also hosts a regular night of racing the day before.
