Test & Tune Cancelled April 23
The Test & Tune session that had been scheduled April 23rd has been cancelled due to extreme muddy track conditions. Lexington recieved another 1/2 inch of rain Thursday night and Friday morning leaving the track unworkable.

SLMR Late Model Special Included in Dawson County Raceway Season
(Lexington, Nebraska, March 21) For the first time since 2003, Dawson County Raceway will have a sanctioned Late Model special. Promoter Allen Wissmann has invited Super Late Model Racing of eastern Nebraska to the fast 3/8-mile dirt oval on July 10, their furthest event out west since its inception.

Changes Made to Burger King Challenge Series For Area IMCA Northern SportMod Drivers
(Lexington, McCook, and North Platte, Nebraska-March 17) There is a slight name change for the Nine for Nine Challenge Series this year. For the fourth consecutive year, Burger King will sponsor the series, but the name of it will now be "The Burger King Challenge".

Colton Osborn Wins Over-Exciting Stock Car Feature
It was the final night of the season for Dawson County Raceway in Lexington, and the drivers came out to race hard to the finish. Some might have raced too hard, which caused hard feelings after the races. David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Colton Osborn of Cozad, Shane Stout of North Platte, and Anthony Martin of Wilcox had no hard feelings, but they also had the feature wins. Murray, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Osborn, and Jim Buss of Blue Hill also earned track championships in their respective divisions.

Herbert Holds Trophy at Dawson County Raceway
The temperature felt about twenty degrees cooler than the previous week at Dawson County Raceway, but the racing excitement bubbled over the boiling point Sunday night. The United Rebel Sprint Series again help heat up the show for their third and final visit of the year. Brian Herbert of Dodge City, Kansas, David Murray of Oberlin, Kansas, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Allen Halte of Grand Island, and Colton Osborn of Cozad were hot, as they steamed their ways to the A Feature wins.

Colton Osborn Has Good Night at Dawson County Raceway
It was a hot, sticky evening at Dawson County Raceway on August 8, but the fans hung around to watch some good racing on Fan Appreciation night. It was also a tribute night to Jeremy Trompke, a friend and pit man for many of the drivers from the Kearney and Gibbon area who passed away on July 29, and his family was on hand to award the trophies for the night’s A Feature winners. David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Colton Osborn of Cozad, Casey Werkmeister of Maywood, and Lonnie Greuter of Grand Island were the recipients of those trophes.

Dawson County Raceway Prepares for Final Month of 2010 Season
Dawson County Raceway gears up for the final three races of the season in August. After taking August 1 off, racing will return on August 8. It will be Fan Appreciation night, and there will be extra giveaways for the fans, including a grill and kid's bicycles.
