June 17, 2011 Burger King Challenge Dawson County Raceway will host its 2nd night of the Burger King challenge this Sunday night. The northern sportmods will continue to fight it out for qualifying points in the challenge series. IMCA hobby stocks, stock cars and modifieds will also battle it out to see who can tame the track. June 12, 2011 Fast Times at Dawson County Raceway Despite the slight delay at the beginning of the night for the skydivers, things for the most part went well at Dawson County Raceway, as the night was completed in two hours, forty minutes. The track also had multiple good grooves, and that kept things exciting for the fans. David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Casey Werkmeister of Maywood, Jason Wilkinson of Neligh, and Tyler Frye of Belleville, Kansas found the right grooves and drove away with the feature wins.

June 5, 2011 Frenier Tops Modifieds at Dawson County Raceway Despite the warm temperatures, the racing was good in Lexington, and was completed in three hours. That was even including the Outlaw Vintage Lite Racing Series, a fifth class added to the program. Jeremy Frenier of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Tyler Frye of Belleville, Kansas, Jason Wilkinson of Neligh, and Brad Bayne of Greeley, Colorado were the drivers speeding to A Feature wins on Sunday night.

May 29, 2011 “Where’s Sal?” Answered at Dawson County Raceway It didn’t rain Sunday at Dawson County Raceway, but the cool air was heavy with moisture, keeping the track moist and fast. Despite the sky lowering as the final races were running, all of the races were run. Jay Steffens of North Platte, Sal Hernandez of Columbus, Jason Wilkinson of Oakdale, and Jamey Kennicutt of Gothenburg kept the engines moist with fuel as they stuck their cars into victory lane.

May 22, 2011 Johnson Snatches Victory from Herbert at Dawson County Raceway Dawson County Raceway had a visit from the United Rebel Sprint Series Sunday Night. Between the added class, and the extra cars in all four classes, primarily aided by rainouts of other Nebraska tracks during the weekend, the pits were swollen with 85 racecars. By the end of the night, C. J. Johnson of Quinter, Kansas, Jeremy Frenier of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Dillon Thompson of Campbell, and Tyler Frye of Belleville, Kansas visited victory lane.

May 2, 2011 First Timers Enjoyed Opening Night at Dawson County Raceway (Lexington, Nebr.--May 1) The temperature was cooler than most had hoped for the opening night of races at Dawson County Raceway, but the racing kept the fan’s mind off of it. There were many new cars and new drivers at the track, with some of them finding victory lane. “Old-timer” Colton Osborn of Cozad and newcomers Dylan Smith of Osceola, , Tyler Frye of Belleville, Kansas, and Jason Wilkinson of Neligh had the hot shoes that toed their way to wins.
