May 24 Races Stopped By Rain With two-and-a-half races left from having a "completed show", a heavy shower of rain fell on the Dawson County Raceway on May 24. Promoter Allen Wissmann and crew tried for over an hour to roll the track in, but to no avail. All drivers and fans need to hold onto their armbands and bring them back to be admitted to the May 31 show without having to pay to get in. Also, the 50/50 raffle was not claimed, so all fans who bought tickets need to hold onto them and bring them back on May 31, if possible. The next night of racing will be on Sunday, May 31. The gates will open at 5 PM, and the races will start at 6:30 PM. » Read More |
